Skybox has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no cookies. There is no server that belongs to it, so there is nowhere for it to keep anything about you.
What it stores
Your settings are saved in your browser's local storage, which is readable only by this site, on this device, in this browser. It is never transmitted anywhere. Six things are kept:
- favs
- the teams you picked
- off
- the leagues you switched off
- hidden
- games you dismissed, and the date each one was on
- tvOnly
- whether the cable-and-broadcast filter is on
- theme
- your background and league colours
- standingsLeague
- the last league you viewed on the standings page
That is the complete list. Clearing site data for skybox.page in your browser erases all of it and returns the site to its defaults. Nothing is kept anywhere else, so there is nothing to request or delete beyond that.
What it doesn't store
No account, no email address, no name, no password. No cookies are set, and no session storage is used. There is no analytics of any kind: no page-view counter, no tracking pixel, no session recording, no advertising or fingerprinting script. Nothing is sold or shared, because nothing is collected.
Who else your browser talks to
Skybox has no backend. Your browser fetches scores directly from ESPN, which means ESPN receives those requests from you the same way any site you visit does, including your IP address and browser user-agent. Three of their hosts are involved:
- site.api.espn.com and sports.core.api.espn.com for schedules, scores, standings and game detail
- a.espncdn.com for team and league logos
What ESPN does with those requests is governed by their privacy policy, not this one. Skybox is not affiliated with ESPN, and does not send them anything about you beyond what your browser attaches to an ordinary request for a public URL.
The page itself is served by Cloudflare, which keeps the standard server logs any web host keeps in order to serve traffic. Fonts are served from this site rather than from Google Fonts or any other font host, so loading the page contacts no one else.
Changes
If this ever changes, whether the site gains a backend or anything that counts as analytics, this page changes with it and the date below moves. Questions belong on the project repository.
